A New Township on Tun Mountains. -
Through the deviation of the line at
Glenbrook, a little township has sprung
into existence. The army of workers
ou the line has had to be housed and be
fed. Near the Bluff one enters on tlie
primitive roadway with the stores, each
built as its owner listed. The architec
ture is as varied as it is peculiar, No
attempt at beauty, of course,, has been
thought of. And yet, what the designs
lose in comeliness they gain in gro
tesqucness. The greater number of
buildings are of galvanised iron. The,
boarding houses, however, are of hessian.
The trees In the vicinity of this primi
tive township present a woeful appear

and the unfortunate stringybark have
had to render up their covering whole
sale. There is an excellent water sup
ply at the township, with a storage tank
capable of holding thousands of gallons
at the main camp, Near Blaxlaud ara
two oilier camps. There is also a hos
pital and a doctor, in charge.
