THE WASHAWAY AT GLENBROOK
TUNNEL.
THREE THOUSAND TONS OF
DEBRIS.
Railway engineers estimate that fully
3000 tons o£ rock and debris fell
on the Western Railway line at the
Glenbrook tunnel, about 40 miles -west
of Sydney, during the severe storm on
Saturday night. Considerable labor
will be necessary to remove the fallen
earth, .and stone, so that the line may
be ready for traffic again.
Some of the passengers from the Blue;
Mountains, wio were bound for Syd
ney on finding that the line was
blocked, remained in the railway car
riages all night.
