Could this be the corner of Lucasville Road and Green Street? The terrain looks similar to today's view up the former.

OK we'd better check that out, thanks for the tip, Jack

It looks not steep enough for Lucasville at first sight; you seem to be able to see further than you should, and it's too evenly sloped (Lucasville is flat, then steep, then flat again) but it's hard to know the parameters of the photo - how wide angle the lens etc. It seems an unusually long straight street for Glenbrook. Other candidates could be ... hmmm...and I can only find one possible, and that's Explorer's Rd from Lucasville. The angles of the two roads are right and it's evenly sloped, steeper at the top.

Otherwise ti could perhaps Hare St from the highway, but again the slopes look wrong.

    Thanks Julian.

I'm wondering what the PoV was, it appears to be a couple of metres above ground level, maybe a train window or a tree stump - is there a railway line this side of the fence?

How about a 'then & now' shot next time you are in the area?

    Cheers, John

No train if it's where I'm suggesting. I'll have a look next time I'm in Glenbrook and take a photo for comparison.

Hi all. Train line did formally run along the now highway at Glenbrook. It was moved south of Glenbrook in 1913. I am sure this is Hare St from the rail looking up. I have the Now and Then photos and a further one from 1900 of the rail lines along this area through Glenbrook heading East and the wires at top of this pic are there as is the fencing below it.
