Thank you Norma.

It doesn’t look like it was a valuable property. From what you were saying earlier it was only suitable for grazing

I think that’s all I need.

Cheers

Denis

Hi Jeanette,

Would you have any information on when Donald Skarratt bought Ugumijil and when he sold.    It is down south "in the hills" says Bill Ballhausen, I think it might be in the Parish of Momo, in the Tomingley district.  Bill says he kept very much to himself, but drove a nice car.

Hi Norma,

The Skarratt family are well known here in Glenbrook and we are doing some research into the Glenbrook branch.

Donald Skarratt lived at “Mountside” Glenbrook and died in 1948. He had two sons

Donald  who lived at Narromine

Eric who lived at Glenbrook.

We know a lot about  Eric who was an architect. His wife Helen Baldwin is now 104 years old. She was a well known artist.

Donald Walter  at Narromine.  He possibly lived at Ugumijil Station.

He had a widely reported 1939 wedding. Some clips below.

Anything you can find out would be appreciated.

The other previous enquiry was trying to ID  a Nyngan property  owned by the Chisolms. My Late in laws worked there when they arrived in Australia in the late 1920’s
